I’ve been told by countless friends that I make the best smoothies ever. Well, it’s just one smoothie that I make that is the best smoothie ever. I’m going to share the secret with you because I’m a nice person.
Here’s what I put in my smoothie. I don’t really have exact measurements so you’ll have to play around with it. These are estimates, but you generally can’t go wrong as long as you put about equal amounts of powdered stuff.
Heavenly Green Smoothie
Rice milk, about 2 cups
1-2 frozen bananas (they must be frozen. I keep a zip lock bag of them in the freezer, cut them in half)
1 generous scoop of Vitamineral Greens powder, Hemp protein, Cacoa powder
1 heaping spoonful of peanut butter (you can use almond or cashew if you prefer)
If you don’t have a Vita-mix, I suggest you splurge and get one. I got mine refurbished and it’s never given me any trouble in 5 years. It is my favorite purchase ever. When you are using frozen fruit in smoothies be sure to start on the lowest setting and build up.
So there you have it. This smoothie is great any time of day, and the cacao gives you a nice boost. No need for coffee in the morning if you have this smoothie.
I found this really great online source for raw foods where many things are cheaper than buying at the store. It’s called LiveSuperfoods.com, check it out!
