Is it burning up where you live? It is officially summer here in Austin, and while I am thankful that we haven’t hit 100 degrees yet I’m staying indoors more than I’d like. When temperatures rise my oven is banished from the kitchen. Well, not exactly. I don’t set it outside the house or anything, but it doesn’t get turned on all summer. That means no baking delicious treats like cookies or making homemade granola. Enter Tastymakes.

I had the pleasure of receiving samples to try of Tastymakes snacks and treats. Rarely do I accept products, but when I saw the website, their story, and the incredible flavors of wholesome, raw, vegan products I had to try them! And I’m so glad I did. They really nailed it with their offerings. In the video below I give you a rundown on why I love Tastymakes and I show you my food tossing and catching skills. I’ve got mad skills.

Let me tell you about a few of my favorite Tastymakes! Honestly, I loved all the flavors I tried but these are a few highlights for ya!

Frequently throughout the week I watch my roommate down a bag of potato chips (she is such a bad influence on me!!). If she would only eat these salt & vinegar crackers instead she would fulfill her craving without the oil and salt. With flavors like Garden Herb and Fig & Onion, these savory treats are sure to please every palate. They use apple cider vinegar instead of white, which is known to have a host of healing properties. Pull up a bowl of hummus and start dipping!

The granola is a perfect start to your morning or even as a snack later in the day. I shared the Apple Pie Granola with my friend and her 6 year old and they gave it two thumbs up! I like to have it before I go workout because it gives me carbs, protein, and fat that helps me have all the energy I need to hit the weights hard.

You can also do very cool stuff with the granola like Lacy did by using it for a pie crust! That girl is genius. I threw some in a banana smoothie and it tasted sort of like a banana muffin in a cup! Do it.

But who am I kidding?! My favorite product of all are the BarBites. All the flavors. I’ll take all of them. I’ve got a mad sweet tooth and these knock it out in 2 seconds flat. I’m all for guilt-free, sugar-free treats and you will love this as much as I. I would go for the Chocolate. Just sayin’. Sweetened with dates this treat is not going to send your blood sugar on a rollercoaster ride. That makes them perfect for the kiddos too!

TastyKitNow, like I explained in the video you can buy these individually packed or you can go with a monthly TastyKit depending on your family size and have them delivered to your door each month (free shipping in the US!!). What? Yes free shipping. And you get a discount for what you would spend on them individually.

Tastymakes was generous enough to give my readers a nice discount! Use the coupon code BLISSFULCHEF to get 15% off your first month of TastyKits or off your first order of individually packed snacks and treats. I promise you won’t regret it!

I was ready to sign up but their website says they use honey, which of course is NOT VEGAN.

None of their products contain honey so I’m not sure where you saw that. Everything is date or agave sweetened. If you look at the products it gives the list of their very simple ingredients.

Then they need to change their ingredients page.
