I have always had a love/hate relationship to my hair and because of this relationship, I have been forced to use some crazy products on my hair. Due to it’s fine, limp texture (not to mention my oily skin) I am forced to shampoo my hair everyday. Also due to the for-mentioned hair texture, I am also forced to use products on top of blow drying my hair. Tisk, tisk… I know.
For the last twenty years I have experimented with natural products to help give my hair some bounce and volume, but to no avail. They would only add a light lavender or orange blossom scent to my mane, never the body and voluptuous volume I was craving.
After bitching about my limp/fine hair to a friend a couple months ago she surprised me the next time I saw her with a bottle of Giovanni’s Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner (Whole Food or iherb.com, $7.95) I gotta say, I was skeptical but I tried it. Not only did it give the ends of my hair some much need moisture from having being blow dried everyday, but it gave the rest of my hair body and shine. Something not many products can do simultaneously.
This leave-in conditioner uses enriched proteins to repair your hair. It plumps hair so it feels thicker, more bodified. Just use a dime size amount after towel-drying your hair, comb through to evenly distribute and then air or blow dry. Your hair will love you for it.
