SO many awesome things happening soon! Hello Spring and Summer!
Despite my sprained ankle some really cool things are on the horizon. And my ankle is healing faster than expected so I’m a pretty happy camper right now. I’m back to my gym routine with leg day being light and with machines. I’ll need more time before I can do squats and lunges but glad to be doing something with my lower body. The upright bike has become my friend; though I’m not blazing through calories on that thing it’s nice to feel active after basically laying in bed for the last 2 weeks. I might do a competition on May 24th if my ankle continues to heal and I can be ready. We’ll see!
So…first let’s talk about events coming up! Get out your calendar friends! I’ll be giving a talk on meal planning at the Natural Living Festival May 17th. It’s FREE! Come!
Before that is my 35th birthday on the 13th! I used to be really private about my age. It was fun to shock people when they tried to guess. But now I’m kind of digging my age and also aging in general. I feel more comfortable in my skin and with my life than I ever have and part of that has come with age. I’m blessed to have so many older-than-me women in my life that are beautiful, shining examples of the vegan lifestyle.
Next on the list of events is something I’m VERY excited about! I’m coming to Vegetarian Summerfest July 2nd-6th! I have been dreaming of speaking and attending this event for years. It’s their 40th anniversary this year! Gah! It’s kind of one of the biggest, most badass vegan/plant-based events of the year. Hope to see you there! Next event on the calendar is the Houston VegFest July 19th. I love visiting my Houston peeps! Hope to see you there!
You can see it’s going to be a busy summer! I will continue to take online clients, but I also hope to get a job in a gym locally so I can do some face to face work with clients. I had a few of my 8 week check-ins with my online clients this week and I’m so proud of the work they are putting in!! It is music to my ears when someone gets great results, by eating more than they ever have, and feel so much better in their bodies. Strong and powerful!
Another cool project that takes a lot of my time (but doesn’t pay) is Definition Magazine. It would mean the world to me if you could download it and share it around. Did I mention it’s free? It has received an amazing response from women all over the world. It brings me no greater joy than helping others through media like this magazine.
The team and I are working to get the next issue planned and edited. There will be even more content than last time if it could even get more awesome.
We also have a recipe contest going on now that I hope you will enter! Some really cool prizes will be given in 3 categories.
