Bodybuilding Shows and Fun Meals

Hi everyone!! Last week was my first official week of eating unprocessed and eating only really good for me stuff. By day three I was feeling on top of the world! It’s amazing that I could feel better than I already did but I did. It’s not like my diet was bad before but I did eat chips and crackers on the regular, was eating out too much, and eating sugar. All that stuff went bye bye and has made a world of difference.

I do allow myself each week one restaurant “fun meal”. Some people call this a “cheat meal” but that term is silly to me. I’m not cheating on anyone, I’m just enjoying myself and not taking life too seriously. Nothing wrong with that! This past weekend Austin and I went to Houston for his 2nd bodybuilding show as a vegan. He won second in Open, Masters, and Physique. So proud of him! We kind of ate out more than once but I chose wisely and stayed far away from the desserts! I was excited to go to Loving Hut since I hadn’t been to one in years and Austin had never been before at all. I got the vermicelli bowl and he ordered spring rolls and sushi to keep it light before his competition. Even though I ate out many times I felt great and hit the hotel gym and yoga while we were out of town.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) I start a 3 day juice cleanse from Skinny Limits here in Austin. I’m excited to do this because it’s spring and that is the best time to do a detox. And I’ve been eating so healthy I want to continue on the path with a little cleanse. Usually I don’t do well with juice fasts so we’ll see how it goes! I will be taking video during the process and hopefully I will feel good enough to workout.

  1. Love it! I am actually on day 3 of my 3-Day juice fast. This is my second one. There is a local organic farm in my area that delivers fresh produce. They sell a “Juice Cleanse” box complete with menu and recipes. It is such an easy way to go! I always feel amazing and have a ton of energy after. I have been eating clean, unprocessed, no sugar for about 6 weeks now. I have lost weight and find I no longer even crave junk food or sweets. That is huge for me!

    I hope you enjoy your fast! By the 3rd day I am really looking forward to food! 🙂

    • That program sounds perfect!! I wish we had something like that here. Then you can make all the juices without thinking too hard about it.

      I am finally where I don’t crave sweets at all either. So glad I got to that place!

  2. You go Miss Bliss!! You are going to crush the July 26th show! You already have the structure and muscularity of a bikini athlete. The changes you have made in the last few months are awesome! With the crazy training and clean eating you have been doing,you might be ready for the figure division by show time :0)
