The time is finally here! Texas State Veggie Fair weekend!
It's finally here! The Texas State Veggie Fair weekend. My boyfriend and I have been working on this tirelessly for the last 6 months and we are so happy the day has arrived. J has done an amazing job making veganism more mainstream in Dallas, getting vegan meals offered in more restaurants, connecting people with the amazing non-profits in town, and bringing events like the TSVF to the public. I'm so happy I could be a part of this great accomplishment.
So if you live anywhere in Texas I hope you will make the trip to come to our festivities this weekend! The other night we spent 4 hours stuffing goodie bags, making signs, and getting all the last details finalized. As you can see to the right those are some pretty awesome goodie bags. They will be available first come first serve while supplies last (hint: get there early for the swag!). There's magazines, coupons for your favorite food companies, treats and more!
We have a great team of people helping us who I am eternally grateful to! You never really know how much work something will be or how many little details go into make a festival of this magnitude. I totally understand now and give mad props to anyone involved in creating a festival or expo of this kind.
So come one come all to the Texas State VEGGIE Fair festivities this weekend! There is something for everyone! Free yoga, guest speakers like Julieanna Hever (the Plant-based Dietician who will be on Dr. Oz next week!), cooking demos, music, food galore, carnival games for the kids, health minded vendors, a raffle with some of the most amazing prices and more!
