Support Independent Bookstores

Hey everyone!! I'm back from my 2 week book tour along the west coast! I hit up Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. The weather was beautiful, I ate so much amazing food, and connected with so many lovely people!

For this book tour I chose locations like independent bookstores, natural food stores, and farmers markets because those are the kind of businesses I support. If you don't see Blissful Bites at your favorite indie bookstore, then ask them to carry it! This is just a very small list of places that should have Blissful Bites (because I took them there myself!). It's always best to call ahead of time just to make sure.

Seattle

Bastyr College, Third Place Books, Thrive raw cafe, East West Bookshop

Portland

People's Co-op, Sidecars for Pigs, Herbivore Clothing

Los Angeles

Exhale Venice, Erewhon, Thunderbolt Books, Santa Monica Co-op

I wanted to give a big thanks to all the places that hosted events with me! Also if you came to one of my talks/demos and have photos please let me know. During my farmers market demos I have no photos of the events. If you would like to see what photos I do have from the tour visit my Facebook page. Numerous posts about the amazing food I ate will be coming over the next few weeks.

This is one of my favorite photos from the tour surrounded by books. This trip allowed me the time (5 cities in 2 weeks leaves time on planes and in cars!) to start reading again. I have always been an avid reader since I was a kid, but I've noticed since I moved back to Texas I haven't read a thing! I picked up The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo on my way out of town and fell asleep last night trying to finish it up. It's good to get lost in a good book sometimes.

What are some great books you've enjoyed lately?

OH, if anyone sees my book in a bookstore please take a photo of it on display and post it to my Facebook page. I have yet to see it in a bookstore except the ones where I had my events. I've been so busy! Also leave the name of the bookstore and location in the comments so others will know where to find it 🙂

  1. I am enjoying YOUR BOOK!! 😀

I saw it the other day in my favorite neighborhood bookstore (very close to our house, in Multnomah Village) and that made me happy! I definitely support local… in everything.

Right now I'm reading a book about flowing data – very interesting! also rereading a Ruth Reichl book for fun.

  3. I've got an appointment with the owner of "a Real Bookstore" in Mckinney on Monday.  I'll look for it and take a pic.  If they don't have it, I'll make sure they get it!   Welcome Back!
