CLOSED Giveaway: New 16oz Lifefactory Glass Beverage Bottle

If you've been a reader of my blog you probably know what a big fan I am of Lifefactory products. Two years ago I met this company at the Natural Products Expo right before their big launch of the first adult glass beverage bottles. I was thrilled! I'm definitely not a fan of plastic bottles and I find stainless steel ones make my water taste funny and you never know if they are really clean (unless you have a dishwasher). So I asked them if I could review their adult bottle and they gladly sent me one. I did this fun video review (which is very old!), and tested their bottle in all kind of conditions. I think I was the first blogger to ever feature their new product.

When I read a smaller 16 ounce size was coming out in a slew of beautiful new colors I just had to have one! Now I have his and hers bottles LOL! The smaller one is great for carrying around in my purse because it weighs much less. I still like to take the larger 22 ounce to the gym so I don't have to refill in the middle of workouts. They both make really cool gifts!!

  1. Glass bottles remind of the fresh spring water we used to get as kids…we would go to the dam and there was a pipe that ran fresh cold spring water out of it and we would fill out glass bottles.

  14. I'd like the glass bottle because I  don't use plastic anymore, and stainless does leave a taste in your mouth.

  15. I like glass bottles for smoothies and juices.  It's easier to pour those into a wide-mouth glass bottle and I can see the contents better, which makes it easier to clean when I'm finished.  Thanks for the giveaway!

As of this post I have made 5 entries!!!  I have used glass over plastic or stainless for years!  To eliminate plastic was a no brainer, but to eliminate the stainless was a different matter.  Through experience, I found that I didn't like the way water or other beverages tasted coming out of stainless steel.  I have the same experience when I use my stainless steel straws.  Non-the-less, glass is far superior to stainless in my opinion when it comes to a liquid container.

  21. I prefer glass over plastic for several reasons. I do not need to worry about anything leaking into my water, I do not have to worry about it melting in the dishwasher, and I can be sure it has been properly cleaned. However, one of the most important reasons is it helps me leave a smaller footprint on our eco system.

  45. I would prefer glass over plastic and stainless steel because I don’t like the metallic taste of steel bottles and I generally avoid plastic whenever possible because of the petroleum derivative and because it is toxic over time. I have four entries! (I couldn’t find your tweet to retweet it 🙂 ) Thanks!

  47. I prefer the Life Factory glass bottle compared to other stainless or plastic bottles because of how wide the opening is.  It's big enough to fit a regular dish cleaning brush, or even an entire sponge, inside it, so I can make sure it gets really clean between uses.

Hi Blissful Chef, I have been wanting some glass drinking bottles forever, i just invested in a couple of BPA plastic ones but i know glass is soooooo much better. You cannot microwave stainless steel! No leftover smells or tastes from whatever you are drinking, easy clean up, BPA free and etc…….My husband has a Kidney disease and i continue to stress to him how much we need to reduce the amount of toxins as much as we can that is within our control. Thanks

  63. I would really like to switch from my metal water bottle to a glass one! I didn't even know they existed until I came upon your review of them. It seems like such a wonderful idea especially because it is easier to get clean and know it is clean. Also the chemicals in the plastic bottles can leak out into my water, so I try to avoid those at all costs. The metal ones always seem to make the water I put in them taste a little funny, and I end up not drinking as much as I should. I did 4 entries. (I don't tweet, otherwise I would have done that one too!)
