Product Review: Hail Merry raw treats

The posts and giveaways continue as I feature all the great products I found at the Natural Products Expo. One of my favorite new companies was Hail Merry. They have a line of delicious, raw, vegan, gluten-free treats that I had the pleasure of reviewing for you today. Hail Merry can be found in the Southwest in Whole Foods but they are making their way across the entire United States. Be sure to ask for them at your local natural food store!

From their website:

“Hail Merry products were designed by a Raw Food chef whose core philosophy is to bring awareness to the powerful benefits of healthy oils, which we must obtain from our diets. These plant based fats like Omega 3 and Oleic Acid can actually improve our cholesterol profile, reduce inflammation & make our hair and skin more radiant.

However, once these dietary oils are heated at high temperatures they begin to oxidize and become rancid causing free radical damage to our cells! All of Hail Merry products are raw or dehydrated at very low temperatures to protect the integrity of these healthy dietary oils.”

I would love some raw vegan treats. I do make a lot of my own but some days I am just too tired. I suffer from chronic fatigue and it comes and goes. Plus I love to try out different raw items and be in the know about all the raw treats out there. πŸ™‚

I am a fan on facebook. I also am following you on twitter and tweeted. @cherrycobbler. following sue o-brien. fan on facebook of Hail Merry too.

So I guess that makes 7 entries!

  2. Hey! Your face while eating the choc. macaroons has me wishing they sold those on the East coast!! Hmmm… how would I benefit?? I usually make all of my own goodies….but LOVE trying new things… my 3 kids (chocolate lovers that they are) would especially go crazy for the tart.

  4. We’re in the middle of moving with no time to prepare treats so we would benefit greatly from having some yummy raw goodness in the house (if only to keep me from going insane). πŸ˜‰ Not to mention that I can always use a new t-shirt & ballcap and a bag to stuff them in. =)

    I’ve done numbers 1,2,3,5,7 – so that’s 5 entries. Thanks!

  5. it would be so great to have treats around the house that i don’t have to make myself. i’ve learned that in order to eat the foods i want to eat, i have to make most of it. which i really don’t have a problem with except somedays i get lazy and would love to just open a box or a bag and have a yummy snack πŸ™‚ my kids would love it too!

i did all of the extra credit too!

  6. These treats would make awesome bike fuel for my daily commute to/from work. And I would proudly wear the marketing loot (t-shirt, tote). This is the kind of product I can really support. Thanks for the opportunity!

  11. I am trying to go RAW vegan on top of having multiple allergies/diet restrictions… these amazingly yummy looking snacks not only fit in my diet, but would be a nice treat to help me keep going in the RAW direction. Also, I am always excited to try new foods that either inspire me to re-create them and/or I am thrilled to discover a new, healthy option that I can have pre-made for me when I don’t have time to be in the kitchen!

I am not a twitter person, but I have the rest of the 7. πŸ™‚

  12. Hi, I’m a college student trying to live a healthy lifestyle, but with all the work I have to do plus very limited time/access to grocery stores/kitchenware, it would be so handy to have some raw vegan treats on hand to snack on during the day! I’ll also be traveling a lot this summer, so these would be great to heave.I also think the shirts/zips are a great way to strike up conversations with friends (most of whom eat the standard american diet, especially in college!) about eating/living healthfully!

I have all the requirements but since i don’t have a personal facebook i couldn’t become a fan but i choose both to be my favorite pages πŸ™‚ I’m vegan and I do enjoy healthy snacks so this would be nice to have and take with me to school. But the reason I would really like to win this give away is so I can give most of it to my friend who recently became vegan (she goes to school and works long hours too this would be so perfect for her to have on hand) and also maybe do a review on them πŸ˜‰

    thanks!

  15. I am a fan on FB, follow the twitter and the blog.

I am 22 years old and I also suffer from CFS. However, I don’t tell people about it. I’m putting myself through college and I do all my own cooking and shopping. I’ve been vegan for 2 years. I’m proud of myself but I don’t have to tell people the stuff I endure on an everyday basis.

I probably wouldn’t benefit as many people on here wouldn’t benefit, they just want free stuff. Consumerism controls our lives. Give it to someone who lives close by. Then it would be somewhat eco friendly.

    Sorry to be so negative.

  16. I would love to win this giveaway because I don’t have much experience with raw foods and I am always looking to broaden my horizons. I was raised vegetarian and am now vegan, but haven’t ventured into the raw arena yet. Also, these snacks look so yummy, I would love to try them. I have done numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5….hope I win πŸ™‚

I would like to win this because I’ve just recently gone (mostly) vegan and am trying to eat mostly raw as well. I have found what helps keep me raw is lots of good “desserts”. It’s a lot easier to eat healthy when it’s wrapped up like a treat!

  20. I subscribed to your newsletter. I’ve been vegetarian for about three years and am trying to make more of my diet vegan. The snacks are definitely where I fail — Ben & Jerry’s, Cheetos, Girl Scout Cookies…sigh. A healthy and yummy vegan alternative would help me avoid those pitfalls!
